Waves Behavioral Solutions, LLC is an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) company that serves children with autism and other developmental disabilities and their families in the Pinellas County area. We specialize in early intervention services, toilet training, caregiver support and coaching, school services and consultations, teaching functional communication, working with our families as a whole to create the best environment for our clients and make the biggest waves of change!
What is ABA therapy?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is an evidence-based treatment that applies the scientific principles of learning and behavior. The goals of ABA therapy are to teach behaviors that have immediate and long term benefits for those engaging in them. Treatment goals can include increasing communication skills, improving social skills, academics, attention, daily living skills, safety skills, and decreasing behavior that impedes the individual’s ability to learn new skills or behavior that could cause harm to themselves or others. Therapy can be provided at home, school, clinic, and in the community. ABA programs are not a “one size fits all” approach, but are individualized treatments to meet the needs of each learner.
